I am completely floored...this guy is amazing...sooo much better then a few still standing (I can name 3 right now...) Tonight was a complete "Daughtry Deja Vu" moment for me

I literally through a temper tantrum, I was so mad. Not a bratty one. Just screaming at the TV. Coupla unintended cuss words flew out in Kristy Lee's direction... Michael Johns, you will be missed. S.I.P. (sing in peace). No doubt this guy will get a record deal. And I will definitely buy his CD when it comes out

Even my mom was upset that he was voted off...she thought he should have made it at least to the top 4. Which is weird because my mom and I never like the same contestants.

im so so so so upset!! ive been crying forever!

Hey, newbie here, but not to being a Michael fan, he has been my favourite from the beginning of Idol. Needless to say I am completely crushed/pissed that he left. Im really angry in the manner that Ryan sent him. Noone one should experience getting a glimmer of hope, only to have it shattered within two seconds. I was bawling when I found out and feel like I could start crying again any second now. I came to this place, cause I figured it would be a nice place to meet people who are feeling the same way I am right now.

when ryan was like "last year we didn't send anyone home during 'Idol Gives Back'" , you just see the look on michael's and everyone elses face like "yay! he gets another chance" and then ryan takes that hope away. I screamed at the screen! I was like "f**k you ryan!" Dude, I've been bawling for the past hour. I am no longer going to be watching this show. I had to work this last tuesday and so i had my mom tape it for me, and the only performance that I watched was Michael's. I'm like depressed right now. and his eyes were watering while he was singing! that made my heart break for him even more!!! I'm so pissed. Kristy shouldve gone home 5 episodes ago! and Seyesha, she is pretty good, but Michael is better and this was his first time in the bottom 3 and this was like Seyesha'a third, and im sorry, but she shouldve gone. Basically I would rather have anyone voted off. I already miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much Michael, you don't even know. I don't know if you'll ever read this but I want you to know that you are so so talented and that you are gonna go far and that I love you bunches!!!!!! this might sound wierd, but i've never been so passionate about any Idol contestant, ever! I'm gonna miss you so much! But you know what, IT'S ALL WRONG, but its alright,
I'm sure we will hear from you soon, and you are gonna have so many record labels wanting you!!!!!!!!

You sound just like everyone in our family. We vote and vote alot for those we love the best. Michael had gotten at least 25 votes each week from each of us...devastated, and we immediately said, as did friends calling right afterwards...another Daughtry!, will be the biggest star of the season, and unfortunately did not win. Will be excited to purchase his music as I am certain he will do very well regardless. At least we all got to find out about him and hear him on American Idol. I am disgusted that they eliminated a person this week as they didn't last year...it was rude and crude and he would have not been eliminated if it were next week I'll bet. He was the best on the show, now the rest of the show will be a real downer even though some of them are very good, some of them are 'boring' and won't sell. I think the voting should be done differently where as the three judges can over-rule the idiots who 'forgot' or were too lazy to place their votes, or vote for fun for those with less talent. Regardless, I am happy I got to see him and will definitely purchase his music which will be forthcoming!! Now I'm for Carly...who keeps getting kicked down also...I wouldn't purchase music of most of the others, except John Cook and Brooke. A new sound was great to have on the show instead of the humdrum.

I know that's what I felt to I thought "Wow Daughtry Moment" I had tears in my eyes watching his farewell video as well he was by far my favorite but I have a feeling that this won't be the last we see of him he has a big and bright future ahead of him, but he will be missed on the show.

I'm still in a state of shock over this ! How it even happened is beyond me,still trying to figure it out. I'm 100% sure that Michael is going to be a huge star,he's got the voice.the charisma,the determination and the looks,he'll be fine ! His elimination has created such a buzz,everyone knows his name.his videos are getting thousands of views since last night,a huge media blitz is going on.

Why did they have to eliminate someone? It's so friggin unfair. I completely agree with you guys. He should've been in the TOP 4. Because this show should all be about TALENT.
