I literally don't know what to say right now. That was totally un-fair for so many reasons it's not even funny. You mean to tell me that people like Kristy Lee and Syesha deserve to be there over Michael?????? I felt so bad for him....from the look on his face you could tell he was just crushed. And Carly and David Cook looked hearbroken as well. I also agree.....I wanna kick Ryan in the face right now. BEST SEASON EVER MY BUTT.

ever since season 2 i've been convinced this show is rigged, this pretty much sealed every inkling i've ever had. there is NO WAY he had the lowest number of votes. this past week while voting was the first time i had gotten lots of busy signals which could only mean either a) he had ALOT of people voting for him or b ) they didn't open up as many lines for him b/c they wanted a shocker elimination.

i'm so upset right now, i don't even really know what to say, i didn't tape the show tonight like i normally do b/c i just KNEW it was going to be Syesha or Carly going home. lol, i literally threw my shoe across the room when they said he would be leaving.

and what the heck was up w/ Ryan acting like they weren't going to be letting him go and giving a little bit of false hope to not only Michael but to us fans at home who are literally CRUSHED.

Michael looked like he had tears in his eyes, he wasn't expecting that at all, and he shouldn't have been, b/c it wasn't his time to go.

there is no way that he should be gone and stupid Kristy should still be around. i like Carly but she hasn't been great lately and should have been the one gone.

I cried too, it was so heartbreaking! Seriously, I thought Syesha was going home... The judges have told her to lay off the big songs like Whitney and Fantasia. Does she listen? No. I missed Michael's performance but downloaded it later and he was amazing as always. "Dream On" was a perfect song choice, his voice fit the song so well. I'm going to miss him a lot and I won't be voting for anyone else now. At least we'll get to see him on the tour!!

OK I am totally & completely stunned beyond any rational thoughts right now so if I don't make sense please excuse me!

HOW is it possible that someone who is in the B3 for the FIRST time is eliminated over Carly & Sayesha who have been there 2 or 3 times each?
This is beyond ridiculous becuase Michael is far superior singer to the likes of KLC & Brooke & Castro & I could go on but I don't want to get too angry right now & end up insulting certain contestants!!

Also someone on another site said David Archuleta was crying, I guess Michael was close to him & like a big brother in a certain way which I could see since Michael seemed to be extremely kind & sweet & I so wanted a David Archuleta vs Michael Johns Final2 & am devasted it will not happen all I can hope now is that David A can win this because anyone else now will be completly & utterly WRONG!!!!!!!!!

This is absolutely positively the WORST season EVER.
He was robbed. No doubt about it. There a few people that are still on this show that should NOT still be there and Michael not. I didn't think we could actually get him to win, but 8th place is NOT where he needed to go home. That man has talent beyond anything others could posses. I don't know what happened, I want to say votes are rigged but I've never believed that story, so I live with the fact that obviously we didn't do our best. From the look on everyone's faces none of them believed it. I just hope that means he'll find the Daughtry route and find success even though he was robbed of the rightful spot he should have had.

I'll still support Michael no matter what. Absolutely no matter what. We have the tour to look forward to, and now he can rest and work on an album in the mean time before it starts.

I felt so bad for Michael tonight ,he looked so stunned ! How this happened is beyond me . I just don't get it. I'm finished with this show,but so happy to have found Michael,I will continue to support him,I know he's going to do well,he's the BOMB !!

I should have never decided that Michael was one of my 2 favs. because then he'd probably still be around. I'm sorry that my favs. never make it very far once they get to the top 12. I swear I'm cursed. In the few seasons (4, 5, 6, and now this year) I've been watching I always have 2 favorites and the one I like a tiny bit more always gets voted off before the top 6. Season 4 I didn't have a fav. until like top 5 because I couldn't make up my mind. Season 5 Ace was my most fav. (Chris followed in a very close second) and he came in 7th. Season 6 Chris Richardson was my most fav. (Blake followed in a very close second) and he came in 6th and this year Michael got voted off way before he should have. I'm so sorry that I'm cursed guys! On another note I honestly don't believe that he had the lowest number of votes. I'm on a lot of other sites and a lot of other fanbases have members who loved Michael and were sometimes vote splitting and giving Michael some votes so that added votes to ours (the core/loyal fanbases votes). Also, I've been around a lot and seen that Syesha and Kristy seem to have the fewest number of fans...I've rarely run across them...but then again I'm not on their fan boards so I could be wrong. Also, I've watched how many people download my media I put up and Kristy and Syesha have consitantly had the least number of downloads and Michael has been fairly consistantly getting a lot of downloads. I know someone could say that I have my link posted on a Michael Johns fansite so that's why he's getting so many downloads...but I also have that link posted on David Cook's fansite and David Archuleta's fansite and it's made it's way to several different fanbases on IDF. So the majority of the fanbases have had a chance to download from me. Basically what I'm getting at in this very long-winded post (sorry) is that Michael seemed to be much more popular and Kristy and Syesha seem to have the smallest fanbases. So it just doesn't make sense to me that he should have went home tonight. I have a lot of other things that I would like to say but I won't because this post has become way to long already, so I'll just stop talking now. Thanks for reading all that!

when i read this i thought that michael johns was ACTUALLY robbed. But not!!! This is much worse!!! I wanna cry sooo much! I thought it'd be Lee Cook or Syesha. I know I'm new here, but I've been a fan of his since the beginning of Hollywood week. I thought he was a strong performer, he was just amazing to me. None of his performances were EVER off for me, & I knew he gave 110% everytime he performed.

He was DEFINITELY robbed.
I think it's a load of sh*t that this happened.
He was so much better than a few people that are still there [KLC, Syesha..even David Archeleta], & he should STILL be there to this freaking day.

I bawled my eyes out as soon as Ryan said that Carly & Syesha were safe, & I just went into hysterics. I cried for a good 30-45 minutes even AFTER the show, & I instantly put on my MP3 player, & listened back to his performances..

No one can understand how much I'll miss him there [although I'm positive all his fans can relate], but I was beyond devastated.

I mean, wtf was up with Ryan even pulling that "We didn't send anyone home last season", so what the hell should make this any different? No one should have went home, AT ALL [besides KLC].
It's totally rigged, because I know I voted A LOT for him, so much that I lost count honestly. And I too got busy signals quite a lot there. So I don't know how in the world he had the number of lowest votes.. It's just total bullsh*t.

Michael WILL have a career.
He WILL be better than any of the contestants on there [minus David Cook in this, because they will both do phenomenal].
He WILL sell a lot of albums, & he will out last whoever wins [unless it's David C. haha].

I know I'll definitely be supporting him, buying all his albums, going to his concerts & I'll be there all through out it.

Girl....I feel your pain. Chris Rich was my absolute fave last night. He was amazing and NEVER should have been voted off like he did. I feel the same, it seems like Idol Gives Back is my curse because it's always right around that time that my fave goes home. Ugh. I'm so disgusted I feel sick. I'm gonna miss him on this show so much. And now I don't even know if I'll watch the rest of the season because I don't like anyone else.

I know exactly how you feel! I truly believe that Michael was the best performer. Not to mention how HOT he is and that voice is so amazing to hear. I will definitely buy his CD when it comes out because I know for sure that he will have many CD"s and be very successful, just like Daughtry is and he didn't have the American Idol title.

If you are out there Michael, and somehow you read this, don't give up. You rock and you have the entire package. The first time I heard you sing, I heard talent. Like Paula said, it's now time to plan your carreer, because it's happening man. All the best to you and I will see your face on a CD very soon! Until then, I will continue to listen to your inspiring IDOL music on my IPOD! Keep rocking! PS - don't ever lose that tie....mmmmmmmm hot!

I just wanted to add how sad I am that Michael is off the show.

He was the only reason I was watching and the show just isn't worth watching to me anymore.

I wish all the best for Michael and I can't wait to buy his CD. I just know he will be successful. He truly is the whole package, beautiful voice, personality and he is drop dead gorgeous.

Shld he not be eliminated, we might even haf a cook/johns final. two singer/songwriters with rock influences, that would probably be the best finals ever. (n i dun see the big deal about archuleta though he does sings well, but dun get me wrong, it just don work on me 100% n his voice can be found everywhere, sounds like elliot yamin abit yea?)

but for nw, it's not gonna happen, unless they announced that it's a mistake n syesha shld go home instead.

AI has been dropping ratings. they need a SHOCKING revelation to pump it up. Then y not drop archuleta? wooo people will stop watching, so they need to drop another big name. Unfortunately, michael johns is the unsuspected victim.

First it was daughtry, then nw michael johns. who knows, david cook might be the next SHOCKING revelation.

perhaps they just think rockers dont make the cut for being labeled as American Idol. good thing anyways, as they have more control of writing their own materials n stuffs. I do believe Johns will get a record deal (maybe next week?) n props to the soul rocker for his performances on the show. Thnks a gazillion, Michael. We'll see more of you, for real.

I am in total shock! Michael should have won and should have been the next American Idol! Don't blame Kristy, though! Kristy is awesome, and she sounded amazing singing "Anyway"! I just can't imagine what TPTB are thinking! Michael is the reason to watch American Idol this season!

He was robbed blind! Michael should of, at the very least, made it into the Top Four. Oh well, I just keep trying to reassume myself that he is better off without AI. If his run on the show and these past few days following the elimination means anything, it's great exposure. (Though I still refuse to believe that Michael had the lowest total votes...)

Even my mom thought that there was something funny going on with the votes...she doesn't believe he got the lowest number of votes and that says a lot coming from my mom! It just really bothers me that there are 2 people still there who I felt shouldn't have even made the top 12 while Michael (who should have been in the top three at least) was sent home.

To me Idol lost the best contestant!

Yeah... Me too. I was saying to myself, "Michael's gonna breeze through this. He's definitely going through..." And then... BAM. It's over. Michael's gone. I was bawling my eyes out and it took me two days to accept it. But I also believe God has a purpose for this. Let's just pray for his success beyond the show and hope he'll be the Chris Daughtry of this season...

Oh and about Kristy Lee Cook? I can tell that she's definitely improving. Sad thing is, I really don't like her. She is always negative and is plain *annoying*. She's also somewhat arrogant... And she really owes lots of debts. First, Asia'h, then David H., then Amanda... Sorry but... *sigh*
