I brought this here from other sites and thought it would be helpful. Feel free to add. We will need to be consistent in our voting to keep MJ around week after week. Other fan bases are very strong, as we know.

1. Once MJ's # is shown, program it into your address book or on speed dial.

2. You can begin voting during the performance reviews -- they open the lines early.

3. As soon as you get through and connect to the message, hang up and dial again. You don't have to listen to the entire message.

4. Use more than one phone if possible.

5. Don't let busy signals discourage you-continue to try for the entire two hours.

6. If you have AT&T as your carrier with unlimited texting, that's the way to go. You get through every time. In the past, people would buy the pre-paid disposables ("Go Phones") from AT&T just to text vote.

7. Text voting tip: As soon as you find out MJ's number, start making text vote messages and save them in your drafts folder during the show. That way, you can get 40 or 50 ready to send as soon as voting opens. After those are sent, go to your sent folder and forward the messages there to his number.

Those were the two rules I've always lived by. Last year I had 8 phones voting at one time and this year I'm doing the same. I always hang up at the "thanks for voting..." I don't ever listen to the rest of it. You get more votes in that way.
