The key is to vote for him for the entire two hours each week. Text voting is better because of no busy lines.

DialIdol only measures the votes that the program itself makes. People download the program than they tell the program what contestant they want voted for and if that person's line has any kind of slack in the dial tone then they up the ammount of votes that it's votes for your person. So that means that there are more Archuleta fans using the program than there are Michaels which is why David is always top of the votes. However, the rumor was that Idol was gonna crack down on the use of electronic votings because it doesn't seem fair. Dial Idol is hard to judge, sometimes it's right, sometimes it's not. But it doesn't mean that Michael is as low as he is. I vote two hours, I don't do texting because it costs way to much in the end on my cell bill, so I put in as many call votes as I can. This week is the most important week, he's gotta make this week or he doesn't make the tour, which will just be the end of my world because it's my goal to meet him...
