I've known Mike now for 7 years, met him in Atlanta at the now closed CJ's Landing (a lgend joint!!!)
His voice is phenominal and he has worked and given up so much to get where he needs to be, a Rock Star.
I and a few of the footy boys (mates) nicknamed him Rock Star back in 2001 when he played Australian Rules Football for a season with us - www.atlantafooty.com
He is great, get on the band wagon and enjoy his stuff - he has had many let downs from the music industry up until now and deservedly is not getting his just desserts - stardom !!!
Go Rock Star - your a champ - take a pretty good speccy too !!!

Good work Biggsy. Yes, many a night at CJ's trying to convince him to play INXS while doing shots, which eventually always helps the convincing process...

Just watched Idol tonight and I've gotta say, I'm on the Michael Johns bandwagon. Bohemian Rhapsody? You've GOT to be kidding! Who would risk that? I LOVED IT!! I'm amazed that he pulled it off and I'm now in his corner. And he got Simon's approval!!! Woooo hooooo!
I will admit some bias that made me listen to him with a bit extra attention. I have some Australian friends, and though I've never been there YET I've fallen in love with the country. I'm absolutely nuts about the footy! (Go the Tiges!) I've been to the US Footy nationals a few years ago when they played in Kansas City so I'm really excited to hear about the atlantafooty.com connection. What's not to love about him!?
Best of luck to you, Michael Johns. I'll be spreading your name around as much as I can. I'm sure you're a lock for the Top 24 when they announce the cuts tomorrow night.

Hi, my name is Yvonne, I am a fellow Aussie, but I am from Melbourne.
I only wish that American Idol was not on Fox8 this year, as I don't have it. Michael is awesome and I am so looking forward to hearing so much more of him in the future.
Everytime in the past that Idol has been on our free to air, I have only liked one other contestant and that was Constantine, from a few seasons back, but Michael in my opinion, blows him out of the water by miles.

I'm another Aussie, new to the MJ bandwagon - after hearing my mum rave about him! (I thought it might be the proud Aussie coming out in her, that was until I watched him sing Bohemian Rhapsody and got goosebumps.)
I sat glued to the tv today to watch it. (Thank god for Fox 8) I even canceled plans for a girls day out so I could see what would happen! Sooo glad I did. He nailed 'Don't you Forget About Me'...TOTALLY nailed it. Jim Kerr would be proud of the version he did.
Can't wait to see where this journey takes him.
It'd be great to see his homeland jump onboard the bandwagon and see our media get behind him.
All the best Michael.

Many people have notice the tounge thing with David A. On some board they are calling it the lizard tounge because he does it so frequently. I must say that once you know about it you can't help but see it the next time he sings.
I think he has talent but I don't get all the raves he is getting. If you just listen to his
vocals, and not look at the production around him or listen to the judges, he is not as special as they have been making him out to be. But that's not new on AI. They regularly fawn on their favorites. Last season they were telling Jordin that her singing was the best ever of anyone on any season. Balderdash! The more they pimped her the more votes she got...so their pimping (judges' praising her, having her sing last, etc.) worked.

Forgot to add that I noticed David A's troubled breathing before I ever noticed the tounge thing. But now I see the tounge thing whenever he sings.

I like David, but I agree. I don't think he's the best right now, lately he's been getting more boring. He's really talented but why is he getting so much attention and no one else? He's not the only talented person in the top 12! Like I said I really like David, but he's not my absolute favorite.
