A lot of the idol contestants are married this year. They arent usually. i have nothing against his wife but i sorta wish he didnt have one

Hi All!

For those inquiring minds....

This week's TV Guide had a blurb about each contestant. It said Michael was married last May in Vegas. They had an "Elvis" wedding. His wife is an interior designer. Michael, Brooke, and Carly are the only three married contestants in the top 12.

lol, i think his type is someone who seems less anal.

the only time i ever saw his wife smile or clap was when Michael would end his song. any other time you could see her she looked like she wanted to be somewhere else.

Michael's wife seems intelligent and classy. He obviously didn't choose to marry the stereotypical bimbo type that often goes with a gorgeous musician. I think the reason she looks like she doesn't want to be there is because she is probably really nervous for him. I remember Phil Stacey's wife always had that look about her too. It must be overwhemling for any wife to have the majority of the females in the country, young, middle aged, old, and both married and single feeling such passion for her husband.

I agree with you.

Another reason she may act like she doesn't want to be there is that this is something new. Before American Idol Michael was not put on TV for the World to see every Tuesday and Wednesday. It's going to take some adjusting time for the both of them although, Michael has adjusted well.

So, who are we to say that Michael's wife isn't his type? Obviously she is since afterall they ARE married. If anything we should be happy for the two of them. She doesn't really have to be his type on the outside..looks don't matter..it's what's on the inside that matters.

Sara - It's no big deal. You don't really have to apologize. You were just stating your opinion just like everyone else is.

Michael auditioned for AI for his talent, his music why bring his wife in or any of the other married contestants wife/husband for that matter. Example Josh Paul bass player for DAUGHTRY had his own myspace and because of some crazy fans even after he asked for the nonsense to STOP or he would delete his myspace page it was ignored. JP had to delete his myspace even his wife because of crazy fans.

Exactly. It's kind of like Carly's husband. He may not look great to the eye but Carly likes him and she's a pretty good singer for American Idol. So we just have to enjoy listening to Michael Johns and see his wife Stacey at the shows.

I agree. I think it's pathetic how fans can act like that. I'm not saying you have to like his wife or anything but atleast be supportive. She is 'sharing' him with us as well.

I read that article and I got married at the same place by an Elvis. You have to have a good sense of humor and be a little unconventional to do it. I imagine I'd get along with her.

I got such a shock shes a older lady she looks in her late 30s. I thought someone like him would be with a pretty lady. His wife is plain looking .
